What Guests See on Your Booking Page

Your public booking page guides guests through a step-by-step flow to browse packages, pick dates, enter their information, and pay. Here's what they see at each step.

Step 1 -- Package Selection

Guests see a list of your active packages with:

  • Package name and description.
  • Available variants with pricing, duration, and guest limits.
  • Meal and lodging inclusion badges.

Guests select a variant to proceed. Only variants with seasonal pricing configured for the selected date range appear.

Step 2 -- Date Selection

A calendar date picker shows available dates. Dates are blocked if:

  • They fall within a blackout period.
  • The lodge is at capacity for that day.
  • The variant restricts check-in to specific days of the week.

Available dates appear in green. Blocked dates are grayed out. The guest selects their check-in date, and the check-out date auto-calculates based on the variant's duration.

Step 3 -- Guest Information

The guest fills in:

  • Name and email (always required).
  • Any built-in fields you've set to required or optional (phone, skill level, dietary notes, etc.).
  • Any custom questions you've added to the join form.

Step 4 -- Room Selection

If your room assignment mode is set to Guest selects, available rooms are shown with:

  • Room name, capacity, and bed configuration.
  • Price per night.
  • Availability for the selected dates.

In other modes (auto-assign or lodge assigns), this step is skipped.

Pro + Lodge: Room selection only appears for lodges on Pro or Lodge plans with overnight packages.

Step 5 -- Pricing Summary

A summary shows:

  • Package and variant pricing.
  • Day rates, gear rentals, and add-ons (if any).
  • Room charges (if applicable).
  • Total price and Deposit due today.

Step 6 -- Payment

If Stripe is connected, the guest proceeds to Stripe Checkout to pay the deposit securely. After payment, they see a confirmation page and receive a booking confirmation email with their booking reference and trip prep form link.
