Trip days are the daily records within a booking. Each trip day represents one day of guided fishing and is the unit used for guide allocation. A 3-day guided package creates 3 trip days.
How Trip Days Are Created
Trip days can be created in two ways:
- Automatically -- If Auto-generate trip days is enabled in Settings > Booking Rules, trip days are created when the booking is saved. The number of trip days matches the variant's Guided days setting.
- Manually -- Click Add Trip Day on the booking detail page to create individual trip days. This gives you full control over which dates have guided activities.
Trip Day Fields
Each trip day includes:
- Date -- The calendar date for this guided day.
- Guide -- The assigned guide (if any). Click to assign or change.
- Day rate -- The rate card applied to this day.
- Status -- Whether the day is scheduled, in progress, or completed.
Assigning Guides to Trip Days
You can assign guides to trip days in two places:
- Booking detail page -- Click the guide slot on any trip day to select a guide.
- Guide Board -- Drag and drop to assign guides across all bookings for a given day. See Using the Guide Board.
Note: A guide can only be assigned to a trip day if they are marked as available for that date. See Setting Guide Availability.
Trip Days and the Dashboard
Trip days feed the Guide Schedule and Unassigned Alerts sections on your dashboard. Any confirmed booking with trip days that lack a guide assignment will trigger an unassigned alert if the date is within the next 7 days.
