The problem
The morning before a trip, your guides should be thinking about the fishing, not figuring out whether a guest is left-handed or has a shellfish allergy. That information should have been collected weeks ago. Usually it wasn't, or it was collected in an email thread nobody can find.
Trip prep is one of those things that feels like it should be easy. Send an email, guests fill out a form, guides have what they need. In practice, half the forms never get filled out, the other half come back the day before arrival, and the dietary needs end up in a text message to whoever's cooking.
Hookset automates the whole process. After booking, every guest gets a link. They fill out the form at their own pace. The lodge sees completion status in the dashboard. Automated reminders go out to anyone who hasn't finished.
How it works
Guests get email link after booking
Within minutes of a booking being confirmed, every guest in the party gets an email with a unique link to their trip prep form. No login required.
Fill out skill, gear sizes, dietary needs
The form covers fishing skill level, preferred methods, rod hand, wader and boot sizes, dietary restrictions, medical considerations, and any other notes for guides.
Primary booker invites party members
The guest who made the booking can see who in their party has and hasn't completed their form. They can send reminder links directly from their portal.
Lodge sees completion dashboard
The booking detail page shows form completion status for every guest. Automated reminders go out 14 and 7 days before arrival to anyone who hasn't finished.
