Managing Your Subscription

Manage your Hookset subscription from Settings > Billing. Only the lodge Owner can access billing settings.

Billing Portal

Click Manage Subscription on the Billing page to open the Stripe billing portal. From there you can:

  • View invoices -- See all past invoices with amounts, dates, and payment status. Download invoices as PDF.
  • Update payment method -- Change the credit card or payment method on file.
  • View upcoming charges -- See what you'll be billed on your next renewal date.

Pausing Your Subscription

If you need to temporarily stop using Hookset (e.g., during the off-season):

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Pause Subscription.
  3. Confirm the pause.

What Happens When Paused

  • Your data is retained -- all bookings, guests, guides, and settings remain intact.
  • Features are gated -- you cannot create new bookings or access plan-specific features.
  • Login is blocked -- team members cannot log in while paused.
  • Billing stops -- you are not charged during the pause period.

Reactivating

To resume after a pause:

  1. Log in (you'll see a reactivation prompt).
  2. Click Reactivate.
  3. Your plan resumes and billing restarts from the reactivation date.

All your data is exactly as you left it.

Cancelling Your Subscription

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Confirm the cancellation.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then. Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation in case you decide to reactivate.

Note: Cancelling your paid plan reverts you to the Free plan rather than deleting your account. You can continue using Hookset with Free plan limits.
